HELLO, I'M BRIDGET.

Dog photographer. Adventure seeker. Professional dog cuddler.

I'm the redhead behind the camera at Bridget Davey Photography.

I'm also a dog lover, coffee addict, wine enthusiast, avid reader and someone who has never met a passport stamp I didn't like.

When I'm not photographing dogs, you'll usually find me exploring somewhere with my own two Beagles, Lucy & Archie — or, on a rainy day, curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good book.

I've been lucky enough to explore some pretty incredible places around the world, from watching sunrise at Angkor Wat and hiking in Iceland to wandering through Hong Kong, Machu Picchu and Petra.

But some of my favourite adventures still involve four paws and a wagging tail.

That's me in a nutshell: Dog Photographer, Coffee Addict, Wine Connoisseur and avid World Traveler.

WHY DOGS?

I've been photographing pets since 2012. But the real story started with Porthos — my heart dog.

He helped me discover why photographs of our animals matter so much.

Because dogs aren't just dogs. They're our companions. Our walking buddies. Our comedians.

Our comfort when we're having a rubbish day.

They're part of our families.

And, heartbreakingly, we never get enough time with them.

That's why I want to create photographs that capture more than what your dog looks like.

I want to capture who they are.

Run with the wind. Chase leaves. Sniff everything.

I don't want your dog to spend their photography session sitting perfectly still while everyone waits for them to look at the camera.

That isn't how dogs experience the world.

So my sessions are more like adventures than traditional photoshoots.

We walk. We explore. We play. We stop for smells. We run.

We hide behind trees. We have cuddles.

And somewhere in amongst all of that, I capture the photographs.

The crazy expressions. The beautiful eyes. The muddy paws. The silly moments. The quiet moments.

The personality that makes your dog completely unique.

YOUR DOG DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT.

In fact, I'd rather they weren't.

I've worked with many rescue dogs and understand that some dogs need more time, space and patience than others.

Some are nervous. Some are reactive. Some are easily distracted. Some need to stay on lead.

Some simply don't understand why a stranger is pointing a camera at them.

That's okay.

There is no perfect dog for a photography session.

There is only your dog.

I'll take the time to get to know them and work at their pace.

And if your dog needs to stay on lead, don't worry — I can remove the lead from the final photographs when appropriate.

My job isn't to make your dog behave like someone else's dog.

My job is to capture yours.

WHERE I PHOTOGRAPH

I'm based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, and photograph dogs throughout:

Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes, St Albans, Woburn, London

I've photographed dogs in beautiful countryside, woodlands, parks, beaches and some of London's most recognisable locations.

And if you have somewhere special in mind, tell me.

The best location is often the one that means something to you and your dog.
